Service to the Bar — Professional committees focus their attention on improving the legal skills of DAYL members. By hosting CLE programs, providing opportunities to meet and mingle with local judges, or offering assistance to solo practitioners, small firm attorneys, criminal practitioners, and law students, Service to the Bar — Professional committees are designed to enhance the careers of DAYL members.

This committee involves DAYL members acting as liaisons between the participants of the Academy of American and International Law sponsored by the Center for American and International Law, the Community of Dallas, and the State of Texas. The program is typically held in June and July, and consists of a six–week seminar on American and International law for approximately 100 foreign lawyers, judges, and legal scholars. These foreign lawyers come from approximately 45 countries. The DAYL Committee will provide one–on–one hosts for over half of the Academy participants.
