The Leadership Program was created in 1997 as a way to reach out to young lawyers who wanted to make a difference in their community and the bar. Through an application process, approximately 40 young lawyers are selected to the program.

Following an introductory happy hour, the class meets for an overnight retreat, which will be followed by eight bi-monthly luncheons where class members learn about the city of Dallas, involvement opportunities in non-profit organizations, involvement opportunities in bar associations, and city politics.  Each class organizes a class project.
