DAYL is proud of our commitment to the community and the bar. We stay actively involved out of a genuine desire to give something back, not for the recognition. However, the passion of our members does draw attention. DAYL has been recognize by the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Young Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association as being one of the best young lawyers organizations in the country.

Below are some highlights of Awards that DAYL has received for outstanding service to the public and to the profession.

American Bar Association/Young Lawyers Division

• Recently recognized DAYL as top young lawyers association of its kind* in the country.
• Recognized DAYL for having the top project, the Judicial Intern Program, of any bar association (including State Bars) in the country in 1998.

Texas Young Lawyers Association

• Consistently recognizes DAYL as the top young lawyer association (big city category) in the state. 
• Consistently recognizes DAYL for having top projects in the State.

State Bar of Texas

• Recognized DAYL for having one of the top five projects of any bar association (large or small) in the State of Texas for eight (8) years in a row. 

Special Olympics

• Awarded DAYL a Sponsor Appreciation Award in 1997 and 1998 for support of the Area 10 Spring Games

Children`s Rights Council

• Recognized DAYL for the 1993 Positive Parenting Award for the "Don`t Forget the Children" videotape.
