– Project Funded, in part, by the Texas Young Lawyers Association –
DALLAS, TEXAS — The Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL), in connection with the Dallas Asian-American Bar Association, Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, and the J.L. Turner Legal Association has announced The Big Give Back, to be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., where volunteer lawyers will be available to answer legal questions for free. Lawyers of various practice areas, including Family Law, Wills and Estate Planning, Landlord/Tenant Disputes, and Small Claims will be on hand to provide free legal advice and other resources related to the most common legal questions. In addition, free legal seminars will be available at each location. Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to bring all related documents pursuant to their legal questions.
DAYL President Meyling Ly says of the event, “This is a great opportunity for the Dallas legal community to work together and give back to the Dallas community in a meaningful way. Lawyer jokes and stereotypes aside, here are lawyers of diverse backgrounds and practice areas all coming together to directly assist our community.”
The Big Give Back will be held at three locations in Dallas: Eastfield Community College (802 S. Buckner Road), Buddhist Center of Dallas (8484 Stults Road), and the Dallas Public Library (2951 S. Hampton Road). Spanish-speaking attorneys will be available at Eastfield Community College.
This event is also supported by volunteers from the Dallas Women Lawyers Association, the Dallas Gay and Lesbian Bar Association, and the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program.
