The DAYL Foundation held its annual luncheon on December 11, 2014. Over 130 people attended the luncheon, which featured remarks by Texas Supreme Court Justice Debra Lehrmann. Dallas Attorney Martha Hardwick Hofmeister was presented with the Foundation’s Award of Excellence to recognize her extraordinary commitment to community outreach.
In further recognition of community outreach, the DAYL Foundation recognized two law students, Seth Phillips from SMU Dedman School of Law and Michelle Gunter from Texas A&M University School of Law, with a scholarship award for their dedication to community service and outreach. The award will be applied to their spring law school tuition.
The DAYL Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization established for charitable and educational purposes. It has given over $190,000 to organizations that support legal education and causes.
