On Wednesday, March 4th, 2015 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the Belo Mansion, DAYL will present a CLE entitled “Negative Social Media: Business Remedies and Statutory Protections,” discussing how technology and social media affects businesses.

What tools do businesses have to combat the adverse impacts of negative communications posted online through various social networking sites? This CLE will seek to focus on the remedies available to businesses such as defamation and tortious interference claims as well as suits for injunctive relief. The CLE will also discuss the applicability of Anti-SLAPP laws and how to utilize some of the built-in statutory exceptions.

There is no charge for DAYL members to attend; the non-member fee is $10. Lunch is available for purchase at the Belo Mansion. Attendees will receive 1 hour of CLE credit.
