Alexis Swanzy was recently selected as the 2020 DAYL Director of the year. Alexis joined the DAYL board in 2020 and made an immediate positive impact on the both board and in DAYL. In 2020, Alexis served in a key leadership role in her Leadership Class project, which was met with challenges because it occurred in the very beginning of the pandemic and as offices and nursing homes were closing. Alexis also helped young lawyers receive quality mentoring by serving on two committees that provide mentorship opportunities, Women’s Mentoring Circles and the newly formed STEER Mentoring Program. Alexis was a presenter at DAYL’s Small Business Entrepreneur program and also worked with our CLE committee to organize and present at the December 2020 CLE.

Additionally, Alexis is always pitching in to assist the organization. Whether she is coming up with ideas for programs, writing substantive articles, or helping with DAYL One to Watch selections, she consistently goes above and beyond. For these reasons, I am proud to recognize Alexis Swanzy as our 2020 DAYL Director of the Year.
