Nathan Lee

The Equal Access to Justice Committee is proud to honor Nathan Lee with the 2021 DAYL Young Lawyer Pro Bono Service Award.  Nathan is a senior associate with Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group.  At Alston & Bird, he focuses primarily on software and technology disputes and products liability cases.  Nathan is an excellent pro bono advocate as well!  In 2020, he concluded three significant pro bono cases.  Nathan was able to secure freedom, after 36 years in prison, for an individual who had been convicted by a non-unanimous jury.  As if that was not enough, he secured a judgment against individuals who had defrauded an elderly couple out of their entire life savings.  And finally, he led a team in a Hague Convention matter before Chief Judge Lynn of the Northern District.  Nathan was able to reunite a father in Honduras with his children who had been taken to the United States by their mother.  Nathan is also active with Alston’s Dallas Pro Bono Committee, mentoring others on pro bono matters, and assisting with intake clinics for DVAP.  We are grateful for the example Nathan sets for other young lawyers and applaud him on his successful outcomes!
