Sometimes you want to do pro bono, but don’t want a long term commitment. Clinics are great for that. Fortunately, we’ve organized one coming up on Saturday, November 9, from 10:00 am -2:30 pm (training and lunch included). The purpose of this clinic is to assist low-income drivers whose licenses have been suspended or barred from renewal due to outstanding criminal-justice debt. Volunteers will meet with clients, research the cause(s) of their license suspensions, and explain the steps necessary to recover their licenses. This is a great opportunity to help applicants get out of the cycle of criminal-justice debt and to interact directly with clients in a relaxed environment. RSVP by Thursday, October 31.
