On Friday, January 10, at noon at the Belo Mansion, DAYL and Mosaic Family Services Legal Department will recognize National Human Trafficking Day. The speakers will be Megan Smith and Karen Bryson, who are both Equal Justice Works: Crime Victim Justice Corps Fellows with Mosaic in the Anti-Trafficking Program. The speakers will discuss: what is human trafficking, the legal definition, how attorneys can help spot human trafficking, and how attorneys can get involved to combat human trafficking in their own backyard. Blue is the color of human trafficking awareness and we encourage people to wear blue to this event.
