DAYL has a great opportunity for its members to volunteer at Operation Kindness, the largest no-kill animal shelter in North Texas. Come join other DAYL members on Saturday, September 30, as we help Operation Kindness during its Dog Day Afternoon, which will offer free microchipping and adorable pets up for adoption.
Members can choose to help out by signing up for one or both of the following shifts: (1) event set up and dog adoptions from 8:00 – 11:30 a.m.; and (2) dog adoptions and event tear down from 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Operation Kindness assists more than 3,000 dogs and cats each year and has saved more than 75,000 animals over the past 40 years. Children who are 6+ are welcome to participate with a guardian. If you are interested in volunteering, RSVP to Cherie Harris and be sure to let her know which shift. Volunteers will receive additional volunteer details prior to the day of the event.
