The DAYL Young In-House Counsel Committee invites you to an evening CLE program, with complimentary food and beverages, on November 28, 2018 at the office of Foley Gardere. Speaker Jason Binford will guide us through what young in-house counsel need to know about vendor, customer, and competitor bankruptcies including: pre-bankruptcy considerations, the scope of the automatic stay, claim priorities, preferences, and assumption/rejection of executory contracts. Networking will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the CLE program will begin at 6:15 p.m. Foley Gardere is located at 2021 McKinney Avenue, Suite 1600.

While being hosted by the Young In-House Counsel Committee, all DAYL members are encouraged to attend to improve on this skill important to all lawyers.

About the speaker: Jason Binford is a member of Foley Gardere’s Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations and Distribution & Franchise Practices. He is the co-editor of the American Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Handbook for Franchisors and Franchisees, the only full-length book substantively analyzing the intersections of bankruptcy and franchise law. Jason’s experience also extends beyond bankruptcy/franchise issues, including the representations of debtors, creditor committees, lenders, creditors and every other meaningful stakeholder in large to mid-size Chapter 7 and 11 cases across a diverse set of industries.
