Who is Eligible to Join DAYL?

Lawyers, law students, and those waiting for their bar results are eligible to join the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.

To qualify for regular membership, you must be a licensed attorney in the United States and have practiced for 12 years or less as of January 1st of the year for which membership is sought and residence in Texas; OR, if you have practiced for longer than 12 years, you should be licensed to practice law in the State of Texas for three years or less as of January 1st of the year for which membership is sought.
Associate memberships are available for (a) individuals currently in law school or who has graduated from law school within the past year, (b) an attorney residing in Texas, who is licensed to practice law in the United States for more than twelve years as of January 1st of the year for which membership is sought, or (c) an attorney who is licensed to practice law in the United States but does not reside in Texas. The benefits of associate membership is the same as regular membership, with the exception that associate members may not hold office or vote in the annual elections.
