“…Don’t ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.” These words spoken by First Lady Obama embody Crystal’s infectious spirit and commitment to serving her community in any capacity.
Crystal’s passion for serving was sparked as a young child; therefore, it was a natural decision to choose a career in the legal profession, which combined two of her interests: service and advocacy.
As a Florida native, Crystal got to Texas as fast as she could! She is a graduate of The University of Texas School of Law. She works at Methodist Health System as an Associate In-House Counseland Privacy Officer. Crystal is also a member of the 2014 DAYL Leadership Class, the Dallas Bar Association’s Health Law Section, the DAYL In-House Counsel Committee, and the DAYL “League Champion” Kickball Team.
Crystal is currently serving as a Co-Chair on the DAYL Freedom Run and Lawyers Promoting Diversity Committees. She also volunteers with her church and sorority, and she is passionate about mentoring high school and middle school students. When Crystal is not working or volunteering, she loves traveling and exploring new restaurants with her husband, Ryan, and she enjoys jogging with her dog Roman.
Crystal’s avid volunteerism, heart to serve her community, and magnetic personality is why Crystal is this month’s One to Watch.
