DAYL is proud to announce Grace Lee as One to Watch! Grace is an associate at ByrdAdatto, PLLC, supporting clients through representation, contract drafting and negotiation, and counseling on a variety of business, regulatory, and employment matters in the healthcare industry.

Just prior to her 2018 graduation from SMU Dedman School of Law, Grace was interviewed by the university on topics such as the importance of mentorship and extracurricular activities. During that interview, Grace was asked where she saw herself in five years; Grace responded, “I hope to be an attorney who is a valuable and effective advocate for my community, friends, and family.” Undoubtedly, Grace has achieved this goal, excelling in both career and community service.

In law school, Grace served as a Staff Editor and Articles Editor for the International Law Review Association, President of the SMU Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, Vice President of the National Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, and Law Student Member of the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas.

Post-law school, Grace’s passion for advocacy, mentorship, and community continue to shine through her leadership in the legal community. Grace has served the Dallas Asian American Bar Association (“DAABA”) in many leadership roles, including as a Board Member, Awards Night Committee Co-Chair, Mentor in the Mentorship Program, and DAYL Representative, this year furthering her service by taking lead in the planning and launching of DAABA’s new Practice Circles mentorship program. DAYL has been benefited by Grace’s involvement as the 2021 DAABA Representative on its Board of Directors and as a 3-year Co-Chair of the Animal Welfare Committee, wherein Grace has spearheaded several events and been the force both binding existing committee members together and inviting and empowering new committee members.

Grace has distinguished herself as a natural mentor, leader, and advocate for her community and profession, making her One [we are very excited] to Watch.
