Hannah Lavy is an associate at Cherry Petersen Landry Albert, where she works in the firm’s transactions practice section. Hannah represents real estate investors, developers, managers, and financial institutions in connection with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions.
A native of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Hannah is a proud graduate of the University of Arkansas, where she received her B.A. in Finance. Law school then brought her to Dallas, where she earned her law degree, cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law. While in law school, Hannah spent a semester in Washington, D.C., as a legal extern for the U.S. Department of State, served as a student attorney in the Federal Tax Clinic, and as an officer of the Corporate Law Association. It was also while in law school that Hannah became involved in the DAYL. Hannah enjoys the “welcoming environment and genuine people” found in DAYL, as well as the “great variety of opportunities for involvement in our community.”
Upon graduation, Hannah was selected to serve as a Co-Chair for the DAYL Freedom Run Committee, where she worked tirelessly to coordinate the DAYL’s flagship 5K/1 mile run, benefitting the Dallas Assist the Officer Foundation (“ATO”). Hannah served on the Freedom Run Committee for several years—coordinating event vendors and race volunteers, securing sponsorships and corporate teams, and handling the countless other logistical elements that go into hosting an event with over 500 participants.
Hannah was also member of the 2016 DAYL Leadership Class, and is involved in the Generation Generosity Committee, where she enjoys volunteering with groups at events such as the Salvation Army. She is a member of the Dallas Junior League and is passionate about giving back to her community. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid golfer.
Hannah’s passion for her career, her contemporaries, and her community is what makes her this month’s One to Watch!
