Alison Williams has been a consistent and positive force behind so much in DAYL. Although much of her contribution is behind the scenes, we wanted to make sure she gets the recognition that she deserves!
Alison has been an active member of DAYL since the beginning of her legal career. Her dedication and attitude of service is clear based on the numerous roles she has had! Alison was part of the 2014 DAYL Leadership Class. Since then, she has been active and a co-chair on a number of committees, including Equal Access to Justice and Pro Bono Partners. She is instrumental to the EAJ Annual Wine Tasting and for Pro Bono Partners helped organize a lunch CLE to raise awareness and help young attorneys find pro bono opportunities. Alison is always the first to raise her hand to volunteer for a task and does it with a smile on her face. Her positivity brings out the best in others, encouraging them to give any task or challenge their all!
Alison graduated from Rhodes College for her undergraduate studies and continued to St. Mary’s University School of Law, graduating in 2013. She has been in Corporate Compliance at Baylor Scott & White Health since 2015. She also somehow finds time to volunteer at local organizations like Advocates for Community Transformation (ACT) and Human Rights Initiative (HRI). In her spare time, she loves traveling around the world (ask her about her most recent amazing trip to Italy!), seeing musicals, and spending time with her family.
DAYL is so fortunate to have leaders like Alison. Because of her attitude of service, willingness to take on any task, and excellent leadership, Alison is DAYL’s August One to Watch!
