Kristina Pierre-Louis has been in Dallas for only a few years but has quickly emerged as an impactful leader in the community as well as within DAYL.

She is a graduate of Pepperdine University, where she majored in International Business, and continued her education at The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law. Kristina is currently an associate attorney at Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young LLP (HPTY) where she represents large global manufacturers of products for the industrial, chemical, and transportation sectors. Kristina primarily defends clients in complex litigation involving toxic exposures and product liability.

Prior to joining HPTY, Kristina was a Southwest Division Community Prosecutor for the Dallas City Attorney’s Office. In that role, she litigated cases against property and business owners whose properties harbored high crime and blight. Kristina was also instrumental in implementing new Dallas ordinances with the goal of improving public safety and the quality of life for Dallas residents. During her time with the City Attorney’s Office, Kristina built many great relationships with community leaders and our first responders.

Her passion for improving the community drew Kristina to DAYL and specifically to the DAYL Politically Aware Committee (PAC). Shortly after joining PAC, Kristina became a leader on the committee due to her ability to make things happen. She is now a Chair of PAC and has played a pivotal role in planning PAC’s many successful events, including serving as the lead for the Dallas City Council Preview. Because of the reputation she has built, she was recently asked to speak to UNT law students about the day in life of a practicing attorney.

She also recently became a Fellow of the DAYL Foundation and organized her law firm team for the DAYL Freedom Run. She enjoys being involved in DAYL because “it provides a great outlet to interact with attorneys in varying practice areas and forge great friendships. I learn so much from other DAYL members and consider many of them close friends.”

DAYL is fortunate to have leaders such as Kristina. Because of the impact she is making in the community, in the profession, and within DAYL, Kristina Pierre-Louis is our November One to Watch.
