Matthew Swanger is an advocate for those who need a legal voice in the community to help them get their lives back on track after an accident that wasn’t their fault. He began his practice after graduating Baylor Law in 2017 (Sic ‘Em!) at Byrd Davis Alden & Henrichson, LLP in Austin before moving to the Dallas office of the Zinda Law Group last year. At Baylor Law, Matt competed in numerous Moot Court and Mock Trial competitions, was a member of the Order of the Barristers, and had a concentration in civil litigation. He has continued his love for litigation as a 3rd year attorney who has already tried multiple jury trials to verdict as first chair. And he is only getting started.
Matt is from the Bay Area in California and a huge University of Oregon fan, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. You can always find him wearing green and cheering on Oregon’s football team on game day. On top of everything else, he attends 5:30am Crossfit classes (shout out to Crossfit Dallas Central!).
Matt is engaged to another Baylor lawyer, Toni Anderson, and has two adorable goldendoodles named Spiro and Dakota. Matt is a co-chair and highly involved in the Social Committee in DAYL. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association. Come to the next DAYL Social to meet Matt and hear all about his work in the community. He is a growing leader in Dallas, and we can’t wait to see what he does next. For all these reasons, Matthew Swanger is this month’s One to Watch.
